A little bit about me. My name is Christa and I have been involved in children’s ministry for over 10 years through volunteering and staff positions. I always saw myself working with youth (7^th-12^th grade), but it was an invitation from my pastor’s wife at the time that brought me to children’s ministry. I always smile that God knew exactly what He was doing! I am a mom to three under five and wife to a youth director (so now I get to love on both kids and youth!). We reside in the Twin Cities and are looking forward to emerging from the nap trapped stage of baby/toddlerhood.

My inspiration for this website is two-fold. First, I have been writing children’s messages for almost 10 years and yet have hardly any records of them. Here you will be invited into my personal library. Browse around, test out something, be inspired to create your own! Second, I hope that you can be equipped with resources, tips, & tricks to bring the Bible to life for children. Children’s messages, as I write them, can be used in a multitude of settings: Sunday morning services, Children’s Church, VBS, Sunday School, Wednesday nights, etc. Think of them like object lessons written to teach a specific scripture passage. Offering children’s messages during your Sunday services in specific is a great way to bring the main message to life in a different way.

This leads me to what you can and can’t expect from this website.

Things you won’t find here:

1. Full scripts that you can read word for word. I want you to make each message your own. I can guarantee that you don’t talk exactly like me! Or maybe you want to use the object lesson portion of a message with a completely different scripture passage.
2. Children’s messages with no object lesson or Single item object lessons (i.e. using a pencil and describing its parts to relate what Jesus has done for us). I have nothing against these types of messages just not my style 😊
3. An ad-based website where it takes forever to get to the content you want. Or a subscription-based model where you will need to sign up/pay to get access to all messages.

Things you will find here:

1. Messages that explore the full breadth of scripture. No part of scripture is off limits! Let’s explore all corners together.
2. Each message is set up to be completed in 5-7 minutes. They are all originally designed to be given during a church service, typically Sunday morning.
3. Tips & Tricks I have found in giving each message to help it go off without a hitch 😊 This includes links to all unique resources.

New messages will be shared twice a month (1^st and 3^rd Wednesday). If you want to be notified via email every time a new message is posted sign up below.

Searching tips: All messages are searchable by the book of the Bible and the book and chapter that the message is based around. You can also search by keywords such as love, forgiveness, Easter, Christmas, parables, etc.
